Smiling Princess Mononoke

Saika Matsuzaki

About me

I’m a Japanese illustrator/designer, a nice mix of Frenchie-Japonaise :) I spent my childhood in a small town in France and just moved to Tamba - a pretty little town in Hyogo about 100km from Kyoto & Osaka. I’m very excited to explore and share the local life close to nature. Nature and emotions give me beautiful inspiration all the time. Just the feeling is such a gift in itself. I believe in things that we don’t see, but I’m not really into “energy” or “reading” stuff. Japan has such a great connection with nature, unfortunately we preserve less and less of these stories. I have a keen interest in learning and drawing these. It would be a pleasure to share these with you. Come visit to feel the beautiful countryside of Japan, you may get to see some spirits ☆

Saica san was a really helpful and heart warming guide. She also speaks various languages and that was really useful. I highly recommend her to anyone who wants to discover Kyoto.
